The Rebecca Caudill Young Readers’ Book Award is an Illinois award for outstanding literature for young people. Each year, a list of 20 titles is compiled from books nominated by students in grades 4 – 8. Students read the books on the list and vote for their favorites. The winner is announced in March. The Illinois Reading Council sponsors the award.
