The 60-minute multi-media presentation includes storytelling, booktalking, and interactive opportunities to experience stories from different countries.

Girl Scouts


Especially for:
Brownies.

Leader Requirement:

  • Each Scout and adult should wear a nametag with name written in dark marker.
  • Please refer to your Scout manual for details of the remaining points needed to complete required work.
Create Tales
  • Covers a variety of folk and fairy tales from around the world with strong female role models.
  • Program includes an overview of the “Cinderella” theme that is present in stories from many countries.

Taking it home

  • A variety of titles from the Youth Services collection are featured in book talks. Books are available for Scouts to check out.
  • Handout – The Folk & Fairy Tale geographic book list provides the Dewey call number for tales to locate books by country.
