Even though he cannot pay for it, the bookseller insists that he take the book. That evening, Carlo finds an old map folded up in the jacket, and dreams of finding the treasure. When he can't find the bookseller the next day, he returns to find that, due to a colossal error he has made, his uncle is throwing him out of the house, and the business.
