Lilly loves everything about school, especially her teacher, Mr. Slinger. Trouble comes when Lilly takes her purple plastic purse, three quarters, and movie star sunglasses to school. She has to show them to her class and doesn't listen when Mr. Slinger tells her to wait. Mr. Slinger takes them away for the day. Lilly is furious and no longer wants to be a teacher! She writes a mean note to Mr. Slinger, but she is very sorry about it later. The apology and forgiveness are wonderful elements, especially the interpretive dance!
