While attempting to solve this, Freddy is faced with mystery after mystery, and becomes a very accomplished detective. Among his many adventures, he attempts to foil the rats' plot of stealing all of the farmer's grain, captures bank robbers hiding out near his pen, and finds out why Prinny, the dog's, dinner keeps disappearing.This is a funny, delightful book, full of charming characters.
