Marley the dog just wants to help his family, but they don't always appreciate what he does. Worried that they don't love him anymore, Marley runs away and then causes more havoc at a bakery. During a happy reunion, Mommy and Daddy reassure Marley that they love him even if they yell and even if he does make a mess.
Marley barks at everything that goes past, including tricycles and the garbage man. After his family tells him to be quiet, Marley tries to be good. What will he do when Baby Louie crawls out of the yard? Will Mommy and Daddy believe him if he barks to alert them?
This book is about a girl who lived just before the Revolutionary War. The story is made up (it's fiction) but it is very lively. There are many other books in this series.
