When Judy's classmate comes to class boasting of winning the Northern Virginia Spelling Bee, Judy vows that she will also be famous. At home, her brother Stink keeps the 'Moody Hall of Fame' on their refrigerator, but Judy sees only the Stink Hall of Fame. Her attempts range from faking an antique cherry pit to trying to beat the world's record for the longest 'caterpillar' line with her friends. Her second place in the local pet contest leads to a picture of her elbow in the local paper. Will Judy ever become famous? This book is the second in the Judy Moody series.

Third grade is complicated for Grace Stewart. First of all there are four Graces in her class and on the first day her teacher Mrs. Linegar, rhymes with vinegar, decides to find different names for each of them so there is Grace W. and Grace F., Gracie and her. Just because she asked to called just Grace she ends up being 'Just Grace' for the rest of the school year! Add to this the scary teacher, Mrs. Luther that lives next door, the most disgusting boy in third grade and a missing cat and Grace's third grade year becomes quite a challenge. Luckily Grace has a good heart and some very good friends, some that she didn't even know she had.

Meet Joseph Calderaro, eighth-grade optimist. Life is going smoothly for him until his social studies teacher assigns the essay, 'Tracing Your Past: A Heritage Essay.' There's only one little problem- Joseph was adopted from Korea by his Italian parents, and knows very little about his heritage, or his birth mom. Take the journey with Joseph as he comes to terms with being Korean, as well as Italian, or in Joseph's words, 'an ethnic sandwich.'
