Victoria Woodhull grew up in America during the mid-1800's when women were denied many fundamental rights. Women were not allowed to go to college, to vote, or to independently own property. Victoria Woodhull set out to change this. Through hard work, perserverance, and courage, she took on the established male-dominated institutions of the day. Learn how Victoria Woodhull became the first woman to be nominated for the Office of President of the United States.

Young people who love disgusting things will be delighted with this picture book, which examines animal babies and what they eat. Lizards, owls, frogs, and other types of animal babies are shown eating rotten eggs, worms, spiders, and rats. Each two-page spread features an animal baby gobbling down an unappealing meal with the repeated refrain, 'That's not our baby's supper! Yuck!' The book closes by showing what our (human) babies do eat for supper: warm, creamy milk.
