When a white rabbit runs by, pulling his watch out of his waistcoat, Alice follows him down a rabbit hole and into a world filled with amazing characters. Magic potions make Alice grow, and then shrink, and grow again. A tea party with the Mad Hatter, the March Hare and a sleeping Dormouse leave Alice with more questions than answers. A grouchy queen makes playing croquet 'complete with flamingos for mallets and hedgehogs for balls' a scary proposition. This adventure is filled with amusing characters and whimsical word play. Quite an adventure indeed!

Zack Gaither, alien agent, has been adopted by human parents who do not know that he is an alien. In this third book in the Alien Agent series, Zack's family is going to Mongolia on an archeological dig but Zack will be keeping an eye on an expedition of Tirgizians, descendants of dinosaurs. It should be easy! However, the Tirgizians get kidnapped, including the parents of Zack's fellow agent, Vraj. How in the world will Zack and Vraj find them, much less free them? Follow Zack and Vraj as they use their special powers, two local children and some unlikely assistants in their quest for the Tirgizians.

Audience: 1st Grade - 5th Grade
Ranging from situations about the earliest years of elementary school (the first day) to the latter years (of word problems and science projects), these poems depict common and uncommon experiences in attending school. Some poems are humorous, describing ridiculous, impossible, or unexpected situations (such as the science project to make a brother disappear or the band teacher whose personality changes once he begins wearing earplugs). Others describe real problems, like jealousy or fear of public speaking. The last poem, designed for two voices, is a description of a best friendship. These simple rhymes depicting silly and serious situations (all with illustrations) are good for reading or performing.

Amber Brown is set for fourth grade with her new clothes and her new shoes. She's missing something very important, though: a best friend. Justin, her best friend since preschool, moved away, and Amber's out of practice making best friends. She's friendly to Brandi, but Brandi acts angry. How will Amber get through fourth grade without a best friend? The story is serious, but it is made fun by Amber's sense of humor. Look for other books about Amber Brown.
