'The Frog with the Big Mouth' by Teresa Bateman is a story that will tickle anyone's funny bone. In this book's delightful verse and vivid illustrations, the young reader will find the antics of the Big Mouth Frog amusing. Here, we are introduced to many unusual creatures of the rain forest. We follow the Big Mouth Frog as he sets out to amaze and impress his fellow inhabitants with the news that he has eaten the BIGGEST fly in the world. He is positive that this amazing accomplishment makes him superior to them. In turn, each creature shows very little interest in the frog's bragging and continues on its way. But their failure to be impressed does not deter Frog from venturing further into the forest. Deep in the rainforest, The Big Mouth Frog, may or may not, find something that makes him a little more humble.

The Gigglers are rat-looking little animals that protect children from mean parents. What is the 'Giggler Treatment' you may ask? Mr. Mack is about to find out. The Mack boys broke the kitchen window that Mr. Mack had just fixed. As you can guess, Mr. Mack was furious and sent the boys to their room without dinner. That's when the Gigglers noticed Mr. Mack being mean to the boys and decided he deserved the TREATMENT. (What they didn't see was Mr. Mack calming down and bringing the boys back down for dinner.) The TREATMENT involves the help of Rover, the dog, and his giant poo. Can the Mack kids, Billie Jean Fleetwood-Mack, Mr. Mack's wife, and Rover save the innocent Mr. Mack from the TREATMENT? This book is hilarious! Roddy Doyle had also written The Meanwhile Adventures and Rover Saves Christmas
