Overcoming many obstacles; a beat-up 0XX6 Eagle Rock plane, a severe shortage of supplies, and racial prejudice, James Banning and his copilot Thomas Allen, captured the hearts of the American people when they flew over New York Harbor on October 9, 1932 completing their historic flight. At a Holocaust education center in Japan, the director creates a display of personal items from Holocaust victims. A suitcase with the name Hana Brady written on it grabs the attention of the director and children who see the display. Who was Hana Brady and what happened to her? The director follows many clues to answer these questions. The book is written in chapters that alternate between Hana's story and the search for answers to the mystery that begins with only a suitcase and a name. Though overall the story is sad, there is a surprisingly positive ending.
