Scope

The following resources and Internet web sites will help you start on a project dealing on health, diseases, substance abuse, etc. For more information or assistance, stop by the Information Services Desk.

Premium Search Databases

You can access these databases through our Premium Search DatabaseS. Choose the particular database you want, then enter your St. Charles Library card number, which is the barcode number on the back of the card, and your PIN number. Do not use any spaces or dashes. From within the Library, the databases are available at the ELR computers.

Library Catalog

Use the library's catalog to search for health-related topics.

Examples:

* Type Substance Abuse and click SUBJECT to find all types of materials on drug use.
* To find a specific title, type Merck, click on the TITLE button, and this will bring up all Merck manuals and indexes.
