St. Charles Public Library cardholders are allowed a total of 3 separate sign-ins per day with your own valid Library Card.
Technology Center (Internet and Microsoft Office 2007 Software)
- Requires your own valid St. Charles Public Library Card.
- Up to three (3) sessions allowed per day, each up to one (1) hour. Each session may be extended up to 30 minutes if no one is waiting.
- Microsoft Office 2007 applications available (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Access).
Express Stations (Internet and Microsoft Office 2007 Software)
- Stations for use primarily by visitors, aged 18 and older.
- Up to three (3) thirty-minute sessions allowed per day.
- Must present photo ID for proof of age upon request.
- Microsoft Office 2007 applications available.
Stand-Up Stations (Internet and Microsoft Office 2007 Software)
- Sessions are 15 minutes long.
- Users may sign-in again, depending on availability.
- Must present photo ID for proof of age upon request.
Microsoft Office 2007 Software Only
- Electronic Resources stations in the Info Commons have Microsoft Office 2007 applications available.
- No sign-in required.
Wireless Access
Online Catalog & Tools:
Additional Features:
- All computers feature USB ports and floppy drives.
- Technology Center computers also feature CD burners.
Print Stations:
- All computers are connected to a print station. Black & white printouts are 10 cents/page; Color printouts are $1.00/page.
Scanners:
- Scanners are available for public use.
Microfilm Machines with printers are available in the Info Commons (no sign-in required).
Technology Center Staff are available during most Library open hours to offer technical support. |
High School Students

Internet Access & Microsoft Office 2007 Software are available to eligible High School Students* under the age of 18. Students may be asked to present their valid St. Charles Library card as proof of eligibility. Students are allowed a total of 3 separate sign-ins per day with their own valid Library Card.
*Internet Access is available to eligible High School students under the age of 18. To be eligible, High School students must have both of the following:
- A permission form signed by a parent or guardian allowing Internet access at the Library (this is done in person at the Circulation Desk in Adult Services) AND
- Their own valid St. Charles Public Library card.
