In the Internet version of this game Miss Mouse has
six different colored houses in her neighborhood. She
is inside one of the houses and her friends or familiar
objects are in the remaining five houses.
With your child say, "Miss
Mouse, Miss Mouse are you in the 'name a color' house?"
Then click on the house to reveal who is hiding inside.
Let your child name what he sees.
Then click the "Back to
try another house" button below the
object to return to Miss Mouse's neighborhood. Do
not use the back button on your browser.
Again ask, "Miss Mouse,
Miss Mouse are you in the 'substitute a new color' house?
Then click on the house to check. You can continue with
new colors until you locate Miss Mouse.
If Miss Mouse appears before you have looked in all
the houses, you can still go back and ask Miss Mouse
who is in the other houses.
Note:
Miss Mouse will be behind one of the houses in each
game. If you want to play again with new characters
and colored houses, simply click on the new
game button at the bottom of the neighborhood
page.

* The Junior Room Staff at the Downers Grove Public
Library created Miss Mouse as a character in a flannel
board game. |
