If you are looking to make a contribution to your Library, we have some suggestions.
Volunteer at the Library:
- Volunteer weekdays on a regular basis:
- “Adopt” a bookshelf
- Record for the visually impaired
- Help librarians on special projects
- Help maintain Library property
The typical commitment is six months or longer.
The Volunteer Application is available at the Adult Circulation Desk and online in HTML or PDF formats.
For more information, contact Jean Langlais at 630-584-0076, ext. 219, or via email.
- Join the Friends of the St. Charles Library and raise funds to support special programs and to purchase equipment that is outside the Library's regular budget.
For more information about Friends, contact Merilee Curtis at 630-584-0076, ext. 240, or email her.
- Junior Friends are students in grades 6 through 10. Opportunities in this very popular program fill up fast. Interested students are encouraged to put their names on the waiting list.
For more information, contact the Youth Services ASK ME Desk.
Other ways to help the Library:
Volunteer in our community:
- Literacy Volunteers – Fox Valley (LV-FV)
Volunteer tutors are needed to teach adults to read and write, or learn to speak English. Tutors typically volunteer one hour per week. Other volunteers may help out with special projects, such as the Trivia Bee.
Contact LVFV at 630-584-2811 or email Director Peg Coker.
