Trivia Bee for Literacy in St. Charles
The Trivia Bee for Literacy sponsored by the Literacy Volunteers of Fox Valley will be held this Saturday, March 15th from 9 a.m. to noon at The Q Center, 1405 N. Fifth Ave., in St. Charles. In celebration of the Ides of March, the theme will center on all things Roman. That's right...Toga Party!
Three-member teams compete against one another; the team with the highest number of correct answers at the end of three rounds wins laurels, prizes, awards and bragging rights for one year. Prizes will also be awarded to the team with the most creative name and the best togas. WDKB Radio’s P.J. Harrigan will emcee. Of course contestants can expect a few questions related to Julius Caesar, with other categories including: science, geography, history, entertainment, sports, literature and the arts.
A silent auction will also be a part of the bee again this year. Audience members are invited to bid on a variety of gift baskets and other goodies. All proceeds will help Literacy Volunteers Fox Valley meet the demand for one to one literacy education, so please consider supporting this worthwhile and entertaining event.
