Teen Read Week October 14-20, 2007

Especially for teens!!! "LOL @ Your LIbrary", the theme for this year's Teen Read Week is celebrated during the third week of October, reminding young adults to "read just for the fun of it." Remembering to take the time to read simply for pleasure is so important when you consider how busy students are today with school activities, homework, time spent online, etc. Reading for enjoyment can be a great way to reduce stress, too! The Loft and now the newly opened "Annex" located on the library's mezzanine are spaces specifically designated for our high school patrons and are home to a variety of books, magazines, graphic novels, comics, audiobooks and so much more, just for Young Adult readers. Encourage your favorite teens to stop in and find a good book and then learn more about upcoming programs developed with high school student interests in mind. Please visit the Information Services Desk for more information.
