Panagiota Tsipas |
 |
March 2011 Artist of the Month
Panagiota Tsipas’ passion for art began at a very young age. Some of her favorite early drawings were of Disney and Warner Brothers’ cartoon characters. Along with enjoying her school art classes, Panagiota has worked with various mediums through art classes at the Columbus College of Art and Design, Indigo School of Art, After School Enrichment Program and Tony & Friends Art Studio. In 2009, Panagiota received a two-week summer art scholarship to the American Academy of Art in Chicago, focusing on life drawing and oil painting.
Panagiota participated three years in the Greek Orthodox Diocese of Chicago Oratorical Festival as a participant in the Iconography division, receiving first place in the junior division and second place in the senior division, with her three entries. She will again be participating in this year’s Oratorical Festival in the Iconography division in March.
Panagiota is a senior in high school and upon graduation, plans to pursue a degree in fine arts.
