This month, the St. Charles Public Library features the photography of Barbara J. Mueller. Barbara likes to focus the lens of her camera on nature scenes.
She believes that just gazing at a beautiful flower or tree or butterfly or sky has a good effect on brain function. In other words, beautiful photographs are good for you!
Looking at a photograph of nature helps synchronize areas of the brain that govern mood, leaving a person more tranquil and able to fend off stress.
You can view more of Ms. Mueller’s work at two shops in Geneva: The Shoppes at 127 (127 S. 3rd St.) and at The Thomasville Station(426 S. 3rd St.). Visit her website at BarbaraJMueller.com and e-mail her at universal60640@juno.com.
