In the artists words,
“Cesira Bonin is a self-taught artist, and has always lived in the Chicago area. In her teens, she experienced painting in oils, and stopped painting at approximately age 21. Her time became filled with raising children, then working, and did not enter the art field until later. Upon retirement, she returned to art and has been taking lessons at the DuPage art League, meeting some wonderful teachers and artists.
“In 2010 she has been fortunate to hang some art in Giardino del Dolce bakery in St. Charles, has been accepted into the juried art show in Batavia, and has art in the Hanover Park Community Center.
“She now paints regularly in oils and watercolors. She is also excited to try some other newly found media, such as watercolor pouring, and oil pastels. It’s been very satisfying and pleasing to her to reattach into the art life again.” |
