Sue West is a contemporary pastel and watercolor artist living in St. Charles. She began painting ten years ago after leaving the hectic pace of a law firm in Rochester, New York, where she worked as a medical paralegal. After leaving doctors and lawyers behind she returned to her first love, art.

Sue began her formal art education at the Memorial Art Gallery in Rochester, New York, and has since studied at the Fine Line Creative Art Center in St. Charles; the DuPage Art League; the Batavia Art in Your Eye workshop; and The Art Institute of Chicago. She is a member of the Wayne Art League and the Batavia Art Guild.

“When I am creating,” Sue says, “I enter another world. Time passes without notice, all is serene and color abounds.”
